We all have to start somewhere. Whilst this isn't the pinnacle of my work it's the first Magazine I ever worked on. I remember I had a super tight deadline, I lost like all my pages to the file management system and had to start over numerous times and we were still on Quark (I had never used this before...Indesign was supposed to be industry standard). Looking back some of my choices weren't the best...but nevertheless it was a great start and I kept on honing my skill. I eventually turned my ugly duckling into a swan.

Not only my very first issue of Food Magazine...it was my first magazine ever!
Don't be amazed....prepare for the worst.

Yeah pretty attrocious looking back....

.....just wow so literal.....hahahaha
